Steve Mazaggati should not be a referree for UFC events anymore.. i’ve seen many fights where he does stupid point take aways like that… Lesnar did not intentionally hit Mir in the back of the head…. he TURNED away.. ive seen way worse than that and no point deduction.. I give that fight to Lesnar anyways.. I like Mir but if these two were to meet again I bet it would be different

damn i picked lesnar to to KO in the first and looked like he had it. Then i saw him grab the legs when mir was on the ground and was like oh thats the wrong move but oh well. Everyone knew there was a good shot that he’d get subbed but all in all it wasn’t that horrible.

If he can learn a little more ground game and avoid the silly subs he could be something. This was too quick to judge but everyone knew he was gonna come out and do damage and he did just that.

at first mir looked in trouble but it was because of the slip trying to throw a kick. Mir has better stand up but brock would have just had more power in his punches and a better chance to knock mir out with one punch. true fight viewers knew this should have been the result and mir came through with beautiful technique and body positioning. Great result for mir, bring on the next challenger, he is back!

Did someone forget to tell brock that in the ufc there is 3 five min rounds not 30 sec to knock him out. leasner was controlling the fight stand up and he had him in side controll but insisted on that hammer fist bullshit. i dont care how many black belts mir has got in brazilian juitse, if u get an unfit cunt like mir(who look ordanary) in side controll you use your weight to hold that position then mount the prick. but all brock wanted to do is chuck is hands and legs every and get caught in a stupid basic summsion… start chucking hammer fist like crazy late in the second and third rounds when mir would have been fatigued and less likely to capulize on the gifts brock was handing him

Hey poop, just want to let you know that if you’re a white belt in JJ then you have no business fighting in the MMA. Also, how would you like it if a 300 pound ape was hammer fisting you in the back of the head. It was a clear foul. The ref took points because it would only take one clean shot to the back of the head in this weight class to debilitate someone. Oh and lastly, Lesnar looked very rigid and stiff and over muscled. You need to be fluid and flexible in this sport and as to who showed more fight? Mir after taking some shots made Lesnar tap out, give up, and surrender. Please i welcome your response.

this is what you get from UFC. they made alot of money from Lesnar. But lesnars first debut fight in UFC and vs x HW champion is completely unfair. well it was an ok fight. I dont get why everyone is calling lesnar a pussy. He is a 4 time all american. He has only had 1 mma fight. and ufc is different then mma. In mma you can give shots to the back of the head repeatedly. ufc you cant cause your in the caged octagon as opposed to a ring. i see it lesnar is a good fighter and needs to develope a different fighting style then he will be better. Frank mir is a former champ kind of an unfair fight between the 2. Mir had more experience then lesnar but all-in-all it was a good fight.

i thought lesnar would have more raw striking power from the top with all that weight and power… needs a little more time and development, and a lot of bjj..

This fights proves why the UFC today allows lesser fighters to win. If this was the old days (with no rules and no gloves) then Frank would have been out within the first 30 seconds.

I’m an huge MMA fan but for you dumbasses that say brock is all size and strenght or talk this WwE crap you are a fool. Brock (like many wrestlers) is naturally going to start out as a ground and pounder, but definately not going to be a BJJ expert. Brock was blatantly robbed by steve, and I am shocked it happened. Ok, first off, Mir ain’t no damn pushover, he’s been there before in long fights, he knows what it takes. At the pace Lesnar was pushing, he would have gassed FAST in the first round. Mir is a ex world champ, AND he was in a motorcycle accident that put him out of the UFC, or any other fight org. for 2 years. Not a pushover in the slightest. It’s simply amazing that he is back. This is exactly the way i thought the fight would turn out. Brock Lesnar only has size. He has no strength. If you hit someone the way he was hitting Mir then they should go out. This only shows that all Lesnar is, is talk. I think his UFC career is going to be straigh down hill. Wow for all the people bashing brock there is a coule of things u have to realize. first is that was his firdt fight in the ufc and i would have to saya he did damn well but just got caught. second is if this guy gets some serious bjj training, you could be looking at the most dominant heavyweight the world of mma has seen. outrageous strength, size, speed, and heart. third is he was not fighting a nobody, frank mir is pretty damn good heavyweight when it comes to submisions. i wish the ufc would have put brock against a striker like tim sylvia, cro cop, or kongo. i guarantee he whips all there asses. we wiil see a much improved brock in his next fight.

we all know mir was going to win. once the fight hits the ground, thats mir world BJJ isn;t easy to get :). gotta give it to brock his fast and strong. his no push over. if you saw that double take down. he switched lvls faster then any one is seen before. just needs to work on his jj defense. he was under trained for somone of mir’s level in the sport but give him time guys. but all the credit to mir for the win, he is a great fight one of the best.

Mir was out of it. That same ref called the first fight and warned that other fighter five times and still didn’t take a point from him. Lesnar did what he said he was gonna do. Not a mark on him. And he isn’t injured so he can continue his crazy workout routine. Lesnar is legit and now we all know that. Mir couldn’t even strike Lesnar and Leznar was faster and more accurate on his feet than Rick was. For Lesnar first fight, you can’t hold it against him for not seeing the swivel leg trap that eventually led to the kneebar; at that point Brock’s stance was too wide anyway. He will be back.

I was a brock hater but he proved he has very good potential. With more training in BJJ he could be a force to reckon with. He was very classy in his interviews. He clearly has the size and strength to over power anyone in that division, he just needs to tune up his skills.

I anticipated a submission loss( as many did), UFC one on one showed Lesnar’s training regime, lots of strenght and cardio and only glossed over any of his BJJ trianing or other MMA training.

There is no doubt about it he is a hulk, WWE is entertainment sport, no one denies these gentleman are in good athletic condition, you would have to be to perform thise acrobatics week in and week out. NO ONe HAS EVER SAID THAT wwe is “real fighting”.

Lesnar fell due to inexperience- plain and simple- with some further training he will do well in the UFC or anyother MMA venue.

You can not blame the ref- they make mistakes in all sports

For those whimpering it was an unfair fight” Lesnar’s 1st vs a former champ”- Lesnar could’ve said no- he is a big boy and entered a fight he thought he could win- we’ve all done that- brock will take his lumps ( like all fighters do) learn some lessons about BJJ defense and come back a better MMA fighter for it.
