I totally agree that he looked like an angry frustrated man yesterday and that he had a lack of Class but with everyone around him thinking that he is only a “Freak Show” and that those people doesn’t give him the credit he deserves, it becomes frustrating at the end.
For the ones who claims that he has no technique, don’t forget that he his a wrestler (first of all) with an impressive 106-5 College Wrestling Record and the he only fought only 5 times in the UFC. In each of the fights he improved slightly… he even tried to throw a kick to Mir! 
Mir deserved to be punished for thrash talking to much about his Lesnar. Mir was lucky the first time and now I hope he learned a lesson.

I’ve never been in favor of having the UFC heavyweight champion fight Fedor, mostly since its always been someone who I’ve at least somewhat liked (hell, even Sylvia) or respected as a fighter.
Now though, I would love to see Fedor get in a ring or cage or even an alley with Brock and rip his arm off. Really great guy, that Brock Lesnar. Even after he wins, he still has to be a dick. BTW: He’s an American NCAA division 1 National Champion. That means he’s not just a big, strong ‘freak’; it means that at one point he beat all of the other big strong ‘freaks’ at University level in the country… which is more than Mir ever accomplished in any discipline.

Well Lesnar beat up Mir too bad. Unfortunately this guy went well out of his way to do what everybody was scared he was going to do when the UFC got him, he dragged this great sport down the WWE gutter.
Lesnar is a douchebag and has no business representing martial arts. Four fights in the Octagon for Brock and the only time he acted like a human was when he beat 45 year old Couture. He did the WWE lasso of Heath Herring and last night was just epic. You guys are betting a little harsh about lesnar, I can see from his personality and his general ground and pound style you’d see him as a vulgar power house.
But, there was a clear strategy coming into this fight and it was really apparent in the 1st round. Last fight, Frank mir caught him off guard on the ground. And in this fight it was well known he’d planned to do so again.
What I saw in round 1 was brock lesnar developing his own unique ground and ground position that fits well to his body specifically. One where he stayed in half guard, tied up mir’s hands with his arms and snuck in punch after punch with his right hand.
This not only neutralizes A LOT of jujitsu options, but does a steady amount of damage to mir, while exhuasting his energy with brock on top of him.
Meanwhile, the worst case scenario is Brock is stood back up and is right back into his most comfortable area of MMA, striking.

Its the evolution of the UFC. Its been going on since the beginning. Some of us remember when Coleman came in, destroyed his opponents, and people were saying the same thing: the guy has no technique (except a wrestling background), but his raw power is getting him victories by being able to overpower his more technical martial art opponents and then ground and pound (Coleman = the “Godfather of G n P”).
Back then people thought Coleman was unstoppable. But he eventually got beat. Right now Lesnar is seen as unstoppable. Someone will eventually beat him, and it will bring up the MMA game another notch. I’m excited to see where it goes from here.

I ended up watching this at Buffalo Wild Wings near my house because I didn’t want to pay for the pay-per-view, it was such a sad sight. Randy did a awsome job neutralizing brock in the clinch until the knee, the elbow and the punch landed which randy could not recover from. Anyways, Lesnar has some amazing skills. His take down ability is unrivaled in the heavy weight division. For someone not to recognize that show me they no little about wrestling or MMA fighting.
He also has a great offense when he has his opponent defending from the half and full guard. His ground and pound is also unrivaled in the heavy weight division.
Fedor will have the stand up advantage on Lesnar and the the submission advantage on Lesnar. The whole question in that fight is simply if Lesnar can take down Fedor. If he can, he will likely keep him down and beat him. However, Fedor is some incredibly impressive in his stand up, that I doubt Lesnar ever gets him there.

Shamrock you are correct. Lesnar is a master wrestler and is big enough and fast enough to make it work. He is a lot like Mark Coleman when he first hit the scene. Eventually Coleman was taken apart by a word class kick boxer ( Maurice Smith ). Mir is not a word class kick boxer and so was powerless against the wrestling, pure strength, 20lbs and superior ground and pound. Mir’s gameplan was also really bad.

I was never a lesnar fan and wanted frank to win because i felt lesnar didnt belong but hes drastically improved since his first fight. Now that hes had his first couple of fights against big names he seemed a lot more calmer and his technique centainly came through. rather then smash and bash he first he started on working a strong base before nullifying frank’s movement altogether before he properley threw any punches. same thing in round 2 when he took him down, he nullified mir’s movement and finished with powerful punching.
Franks problem was that he lacks in core wrestling himself, he rellied on striking for the fight and for the bit of striking he did do he looked better then brock but striking with no takedown defense is game over. its the written rule wrestlers beat strikers

You can’t say Brock has no skill and no game plan. He may have less than some, but there are plenty of big strong guys who couldn’t beat top fighters. Brock is also quite athletic — fast and strong. I have a hard time seeing Fedor winning simply because of the size difference. Fedor is clearly the much more skilled fighter, but he’s not exactly skinny even when fighting at only 230 pounds. I think the 60 pound range for UFC heavyweights is just too much. It needs to be split.
