I hope Lesnar does not become a fixture as a commentator. Jeeez, is he stupid? With respect to his fighting future, I believe he should step aside and let Overeem fight Dos Santos. It’s just wasting time having to wait for Overeem to beat him before we can see a real fight.

He was mad as hell because it was a shitty display of MMA for the first time alot of the american public has seen UFC. First of all the fight ended in 64 seconds. Secondly, it just looked like a glorified brawl – there was no skill shown. No takedowns, no kicks, no cool combos- only what seemed to be a wild right hand from a guy whose fighting style was advertised as boxing…. Thirdly, both of these guys dont have “the look” nor can they talk the talk… So all in all… big failure.

1)Really wish someone would explain why a short fight is a bad fight. I LOVED Leben/Wandy (sad to see Wandy go down like that but…)!!! It was a good fight. UFC is STILL more exciting than boxing and to see a real result versus Pacquiao/Marquez-clearly robbery…I think the UFC won the evening. Remember all the lead up info, people got to see footage of the fights and HUGE promo.
Sadly, on the Internet, people bitch and moan and not much more. The UFC took a HUGE financial hit compared to what they normally make to put on free fights on Facebook and Fox (who I personally hate-especially Murdock) put on a FREE show…and now people want a refund…for a fight that was short but clean. Nice…I’m sure White and the UFC will want to do more for the fans now…

Dana Douche really screwed this big UFC on FOX event up. They should have had at least one fight prior to this one to warm the fans up. Instead, they put on an hour show for about 1.5 minutes of actual fighting.

That was the worst fight possible to put on Fox, no excitement or skills displayed. I was expecting a much better fight with all the hype. Guida and Henderson was way more exciting and good representation of MMA not the heavyweights. HW are just freak shows, the skill level is no way near the lighter weights. If I weren’t a fan of mma, that title fight definitely would not make me a fan…..booooorring.

Overall-I have to say that UFC on FOX was a failure-I had a few coworkers over and had called everyone I could think of to watch this event and all of them thought it was a joke-Which left me very pissed off-Guida versus Henderson would have probably won them over but flabby Cain looked like a retard to them

I wish I had a tissue to give to everybody crying about this fight and the commentating. Who complains about a first round knockout? It’s not like back in the day when we payed to see Tyson kill some random bum, it was on network tv. If you were paying any attention leading up to this fight, you would know that they wanted more fights on fox but the deal would not allow for it. You’re obviously able to log on and whine here, so why weren’t you able to watch the other fights on facebook? I’m not a Brock fan, but he was pretty well spoken and comfortable on camera. Dana seemed a little nervous, probably because he couldn’t resort to dropping f-bombs every other word though. 1st round knockout boring? Go watch American Idol, chump!

Dana made a big mistake… if he wanted a good show, he should of put 2 lightweights (guida vs hendo) and the main event… we would of had 1 real mma battle and 1 fight that “anything can happen” and it would of been a sweet night. 1 f****** hour for a 1 minute fight. Why’s everyone think it wasn’t a success? I thought you might like the NFL background music, Superbowl like stage and commercialization of the MMA. I even thought Joe Rogan tucking in his shirt was a nice touch. How bout the mariachi music, that was good right? I’m so glad I didn’t put the Henderson/Guida fight on TV. Now that would have been a bad decision. Can’t wait until the next FOX event…perhaps more NFL background music. I’m already in discussions with Terry Bradshaw whom can do pre and post fight analysis. Damn we are on to something here. $$$$$$

We should keep all the negative comments and compare them every time some one complains about a fight. I imagine they are interchangeable, just change the names of the fighters. To big capable men go in the cage and fight what did we expect. As for the commentators why not also complain about the setting or their clothing

Why are people complaining that the fight was boring? A 5 round wrestle-fest would have been boring! I live for the knock-out or submission finish, and I saw a good one. If people are complaining about fights that go the distance and fights that end early, maybe they should only watch the second round. Hope my spelling, grammar and punctuation is good.

Any fight that ends in a KO is a f-ing great fight!! I know you don’t want to watch GSP dry humping someone for the whole time!!! But Cain looked rusty as hell. Ring rust will do that to the best of us look at what happened to M. Jordan in his prime. I do know one thing Cain is gonna come back a beast and I feel sorry for all that get in his way.

This isn’t WWE where you can script a fight to last as long as u want.

for the hardcore fans asking why people are upset with a fast fight. you gotta remember we are used to watching a full card with 5 plus fights. and if one or two of them are fast knockouts its great. but this was just one fight to showcase the entire sport. part of why watching mma is so much fun is seeing different match ups and different styles of fights all in one night. so ya fast KOs are great but not if its all you get to see.

Put two heavy hitters in the cage and there is a very good chance that the fight won’t last long.
I don’t think the event was either a failure or a success. It’s not the kind of event that will bring millions of new fans to MMA, but it won’t scare them away either. UFC has a 7 year contract to make it, so give it some time.

Most of the current UFC champs are Brazilian. These guys are beasts and they mean business. But any fight can go either way in a matter of seconds. I’d be upset to if you promise everyone a war and it’s over quicker that premature ejaculation. Then how do you look to everyone else. LOL! This was a great way to F*** up the sport for the new fan. Cain really blew it. Where was the shot? Dana has to be pissed, but he can look in the mirror. There should have been two fights and Clay always produces. He should have been the Fox under card broadcast. He can make up for it on Superbowl Sunday. If you have Sonnen / Silva – GSP / Diaz – Lesnar / Overeem you will blow some minds.
