He is know in the boxing world as “ricky fatten” due to his incredible weight gains post fights, he has been know to be 30-40% heavier then fight weight most of the time.

Hatton is the second best British Boxer of all time. Joe Calzaghe from Wales is prob the best. Rickey beat every top contender for years but a bad lifestyle meant he faded quickly, he would have beaten Floyd Gayweather and done alot better against pac man if he took them on earlyer in his carrier or looked after himself a bit better. He is a Ledgend in the boxing world for sure.

I think the case was made by others, but I just wanted to add that if this guy is not a boxing legend, then very, very few are. It’s how high you set the standard. But a guy who beat the crap out of everybody he faced on his time, won almost 10 different titles, and only lost to the two top fighters in the world after his prime… sounds like a legend to me.
We call people legends in MMA for much less than that.
