Why is Tom Attencio still trying to prove anything fighting? Focus on your organization.

The single biggest messup in management history is Bobby Lashley not getting signed up to do the Ultimate Fighter.

This fight is so meaningless compared to what going on the soon to be highest rated Ultimate Fighter would have done for him.

Makes little to no sense, and since he expressed interest and his management didn’t make it happen, they should be fired.

If sapp doesn’t knock ashley out within the first or three minutes, I see him gassing and perhaps taking a dive. That rizzo vs yvel is going to a good one, I got rizzo ftw. I’m surprised that attencio didn’t get someone who was o-o or 0-1, either way he’s fighting a can.

You don’t gain respect in the mma world by fighting bob sapp, you become part of the joke.

I wholeheartedly agree with junbo79. This move by his management, after he expressed a personal interest in participating, is a colossal, colossal screw-up. When idiot managers make decisions like that it makes me sympathize with Dana’s control-freak nature, and his efforts to cut third parties out of the UFC. Lashley’s management advising him not to participate is something you’d expect in the boxing industry.

Lashley better destroy Sapp to prove anything at all.

Sapp talking sh*t about wrestling. What a loser, if Bobby takes this fight to the mat, Sapp is done. Bobby is a highly decorated amateur wrestler with power and the gas mileage of Prius. Sapp is a behemoth with about ZERO skill and the gas mileage of pick up truck built in the 50’s. He gets about 2 miles per gallon then he’s done.

I don’t know if Lashley clocks on his feet or takes him down and pounds him out, but either way Sapp gets KTFO’d.

If you beat any fighter that has beaten Ernesto Hoost twice, you gain credibility, and there’s no way of arguing that

I gotta feelin sapp throws this one too. I know he threw his last one. Dude was 185, controlling sapp on the ground. Sapp knocked Butterbean off the stage in a sumo match. That is a powerful man.

gotta love the internet dude. i wouldn’t be so quick to call someone out on their info unless you yourself have facts straight captiangunner.

“Lashley has been talking with TNA and apparently had some interest in going on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ until his management convinced him to pass”

Look it up.

TO CAPTAINDOUCHEBAG

Oh and from the man himself. Again, don’t be so quick to act like you know what your talking about unless you have even a tiny bit of your facts straight.

Former WWE pro wrestler Bobby Lashley would be open to competing on next season’s “The Ultimate Fighter 10,” which is casting for middleweights, light-heavyweights and heavyweights.

“I think that would be great because what I’m trying to do right now is prove myself and on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ you have to prove yourself,” Lashley said on “MMA Live” on ESPN. “I talked it over with my management and trainers and everything and they had mixed opinions on it. If I should go there or go out and do different fights. I’m open to anything. I’m open to suggestions. If that’s the route they want to send me, then I’m going to go.”

Make Sapp run around the ring for 2minutes…then beat the black out of him…or the “yo momma jokes”

Did you see the preview?…15 seconds into his fight then he starts to lose coordination in his punches…ummmm nahhh…he’ll lose to a wwf guy.

promo’s videos like this highlight how much the UFC is beginning to dominate all of MMA. Dana White’s youtube blogs have bigger budgets.

If something like this is made by the competition, maybe its time to consider what could happen if the UFC takes over all of MMA… there is only one major football league, even soccer with its millions of smaller organizations has a widely recognized “major league”

Doing the ultimate fighter now is stupid if you are a good marketable fighter. Sign a short 2-3 fight contract with the UFC. Then assuming you win and entertain sign a much better deal. If you win the ultimate fighter they got you locked in for 3 years at $16000 to show and $8000 to win. The only person that benefits from the ultimate fighter anymore is the ufc and their sponsor. Use Brandon Vera as an example. He signed a second contract when he came back and was making $150000 a fight to show. He starts losing and goes down hill but at least he made some good money for a couple of fights. Can now pay to go to a new camp get new trainers try something else. He can do something with that. Kendell grove had a couple of loses so has fallen out of favor with many. He has only average 2 fights a year for the last 3 years that means he is only making $42000 a year because he won one lost one. Unless you are an inexperienced fighter that wants to jump to the head of the line it makes no sense to be on the ultimate fighter. Bobby is smart fighting in other organizations and building a name. When he is ready he can come to the UFC and get a big pay day instead of the 3 year TUF contract.

@jlawn. you are right in every regard to what you are saying. at the same time though, if you have star power going into the Ultimate Fighter, then there is a good chance that the UFC would set up a different contract from everyone else.

This is exactly what happened with Slice. In the event that he wins, then he will receive a contact different from the standard Ultimate fighter contract.
