Sapp is a physical specimen that didn’t improve much throughout his career. MMA is as much brain as brawn. Sapp did not have much of the mma brain.

you think some one with that size and power would actully fight aggessively and slam people and just destroy people, i think he lacks heart and fire just gets away with fighting cos of his size, id like to see him fight some one his own size and he would get dominated like a bitch

A little background: Japanese fans love seeing huge fighters. Promotions always looks for guys like Sapp, Giant Silva, Lesnar, etc. All fans like to see big fighters but the Japanese go crazy for them. And yeah they usually aren’t the best, to say the least (but I have to say Lesnar is the exception).

Bob Sapp punches like a girl … and I agree with SMACK - the guy lacks heart (and stamina) … guys like that make really entertaining Japanese commercials but extremely boring fights (p.s. sapp cried when cro-cop kicked him)

Relax WAR the UFC doesn’t have a superheavyweight division. Bob would have to lose about 100lb…..and gain some skill.

W O W Bob atually looked decent in this fight and its sad for ppl to say he won just cuz of his size. Size really isn’t a large factor in fights because great fighters come in all sizes and you can be crazy strong even if your 150 pounds. I don’t know why he didn’t stay more calm and composed liek that in later fights. What he needs is some stamina because endurance is important and he will own he also needs to learn how to fight lmao (pun intended) he isnt super super super super bad but he is super bad so he needs to train a lot more on his striking and ground skills because in case some of you didn’t know he has lost to way smaller fighter than himself.

Love him or hate him, but Bob Sapp is a fan favorite in Japan and other Asian countries because of his sheer size and strength. Win or lose, he gives the fight fans what they want.He reminds me of Killer Kowalski, who was a huge draw at the box-office because he was a heel and also because Kowalski was awesome (6′7″ 275 lbs.). Everytime Kowalski wrestled, it was a sell-out. Bob Sapp is a huge draw in Japan because he sells tickets. Sure he has weaknesses;he doesn’t have a great reserve tank and his ground-fighting skills are poor. Aside from this, he is fun to watch.So let’s give the Big Fellow his dues. ‘Nuff said!
