omg lol ……….well I guess it cant be worse than having meisha tate as a coach!?? they should have done TUF bellator and done tito and rampage as coaches or if they are bringing in old man bj penn why not bring in Royce gracie vs dan severn?? they are just as old as BJ anyways??

Bj is gotta be one of my favourite all time dreads, it’s worth it jus to hear his walkout music blastin when he fights with edgar. But this dont really look lke a beef series in that there no bad blood between the two. That bein that, bj could probly fall out with himslef if he sat in a room on his own for long enough. But that why we love the bredda. Peace

P.s u dont usually get a third fight if you lost two, right? Even if the first was closer than close xxx

I’m always impressed with BJ’s warrior mentality. He fights Machida, when Machida weighs in at heavyweight, then waits until his mid-thirties to try dropping to 145. I hope he brings his big boy fists to this fight, like he did with Hughes.

B-Real Says, in 9-12-2013 at 13:33:35 from

Dude, I’m stoked about BJ coming back! He’s definitely my favorite fighter despite his conditioning issues. He was at his best when he trained with the Marinovich brothers, everybody knows that. Why did he ever stop?! Being away from the family? C’mon BJ, you’re the best still bro, but nobody will see it if you don’t sacrifice the training months! Just condition like crazy so the fans know you’re taking it seriously. I actually would love to see him train with Marv again, get ripped, and destroy Connor Mcgregor!!!

BJ “The Prodigy” Penn VS “The Notorious” Connor Mcgregor!!!!!!!!!!!!

bj sucks going to lose again

kaution35 Says, in 9-12-2013 at 15:04:26 from

Its hard for BJ to get his head focus these days cuz he’s on a different path. If his opponents don’t piss him off then they have a chance at beating him. Everyone knows thats the formula to beating BJ Penn. Even Nick Diaz opted not to get under his skin–last guy that did so we saw his skull and brain meat—Diego Sanchez. Frankie got a chance if he dont irritate BJ. Hopefully he does in the house. I’d like to see BJ destroy Frankie only cuz Im not personally a big fan of close win champs who act like they beat the hell out of their opponent (ie Ben Henderson). I’d love to see Uriah Faber against BJ at 145 tho. It would be competitive and not so brutal–just technical and fast paced.

Eggsactly!…I’m hoping to see those big boy fists too, so he can finish this fight.

jdogg Says, in 9-12-2013 at 15:25:58 from

The 18th season of TUF and THIS is what they came up with?? Edgar vs Penn?? How many times is Penn gonna be forced into retirement already? This is just a terrible idea for TUF in my opinion.

B-Real Says, in 9-12-2013 at 17:06:56 from

Anyone who underestimates BJ hasn’t seen his greatness. It’s purely a matter of motivation. I could see his potential when he faught Diego. Talent is nothing without preserverance. BJ’s been told that he’s the best for too long. I wanna see him earn his respect back by putting his family and academy obligations aside to train. I think he can beat anybody with the right training.

Dream Fight:

BJ vs Connor !!!

Jake Says, in 9-12-2013 at 17:21:59 from

@High Stakes

Your joking right? Everyone seems to think BJ is old when in fact he retired at like 33, he’s 34 now. Still relatively young, it’s just that he’s taken A LOT of damage in his years of fighting. Royce and Severn are at least a decade older than him

brandon Says, in 9-12-2013 at 17:39:42 from

You’re an idiot Ash. BJ would kick your ass. I’d like to see you get in the ring with him you idiot. Pretty easy to talk trash in the safety of your house. He had the belt in two different weight classes and is a bad ass who fought lyoto machida in an open weight tournament. And even tho he lost to gsp, not a lot of champs call out other champs. Especially in weight classes above them. Go talk trash with all the youtube scrubs. Get off mmatko.

wcoastassassin Says, in 9-12-2013 at 20:02:31 from

Severn is 58. He was not young when he started in the UFC.

ash Says, in 9-12-2013 at 23:03:27 from

^^brandon ur a tard, in the same way, dont criticize the president because lets see u win an election, or don’t criticize anyone, what the F*** does it matter if i can fight or not, does Dana white fight? Does he know about fight? does any trainer out there that doesn’t step in the cage know about fighters?? ur a fool.bj is a disgrace, loosing to edgar twice because he is lazy and rich as hell, that guy never trained hard in his life, or work for that matter, he was born with a platinum spoon up his S and other than raw talent he was born with he never evolved, or tried. u talking about a guy that eats mcdonalds all training camp..and only flexible because he was born that way, not because he worked for it.

MONTE Says, in 9-12-2013 at 23:49:36 from

BJ is lazy, he’s always been lazy. The man just doesn’t do his cardio and gasses way too often. And this was back when he was ‘staying in shape’. I’m betting he’s just a round shape now. He retired a bit too late, and now he’s going to fight again?! Dafuk?! I guess I’ll get to make some big cash betting on this match because BJ is a guaranteed loss and too many suckers see it differently. That’s good news for me because it will make my winning odds payout that much better!

danada Says, in 9-13-2013 at 00:24:00 from

BJ hops around the weight classes a lot. The smaller he is the better usually. Hopefully he comes in shape.

rich Says, in 9-13-2013 at 00:30:39 from

I don’t really get how you people can put BJ down like this. He won championships in 2 different weight classes and is one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport. That being said Frankie is going to finish him by the third and retire him for good.

NotVinnieJones Says, in 9-13-2013 at 00:47:20 from

I don’t have much interest in this fight since BJ’s career plateaued already and its against a fighter who already beat him twice.
But I do have to agree with ash…making that type of statement like brandon did makes him sound like a complete dumb-@ss. Don’t criticize Justin Beiber because he can sing better than you! Don’t say anything bad about that big joke Bob Sapp because he could wup you in a fight! Don’t say that Milwaukees Best tastes like garbage because you can’t brew better beer. Don’t say anything negative about any football team because you wouldn’t be accepted onto any pro team. See the lack of logic in that argument?
People can say whatever they want about fighters because fighters are a product and fans are consumers of that product. We don’t blindly buy that product despite lack of quality. I’m guessing that brandon has nothing but good kind words to say about that joke Bob Sapp since I’m sure Sapp could kick his a$$. In fact, we should never ever see anything negative posted by brandon about a fighter since he thinks no one should talk bad about a fighter that can kick their a$$ and I’m sure every fighter, including the females, could kick his a$$.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 9-13-2013 at 16:53:22 from

and he’s not joking about that.

B-Real Says, in 9-13-2013 at 19:49:59 from

Can’t wait to see BJ’s greatness again! Hope he comes fit…

How’s he droppig down to 145? He’s 5’9″ and walks around at 165, right? Didn’t he fight Lyoto at 205lbs. This dude’s nutts. He’s always been a king at 155, he was just out of “Cardio Shape” during the Frankie fights.

B-Real Says, in 9-13-2013 at 19:54:27 from

I really think he should fight Connor Mcgregor. Connor coming off of an injury, BJ coming off of a long lay off. I know whenever a fighter has too much Hype around him, BJ ends up interested to fight him. Mcgregor Vs Penn is a perfect come back scenario. Crazy hype would ensue!!!
