After controlling most of the first round BJ Penn finally got the best of Jens Pulver with a rear naked choke 3 minutes into the second round.
Even with Pulver showing excellent defense Penn controlled most of the first round. The fight almost ended in that round when Penn got Pulver in an armbar but Pulver was able to pull out before Penn could lock it off.
In the second round Pulver got off a good shot but Penn took him down quickly. Penn got the mount and gave Pulver some solid hits to loosen him up before getting Pulver’s back and applying a choke to force the tap.
