Some good points about him being too good. I can see them picking lesser fighters for ratings. I’m sure the glasses couldn’t help either haha, I wear glasses and always get that nerd sterotype. Not to mention nerdy glasses and tough tooth pick don’t fit well

Guess some things do happen for a reason. Perhaps if he would have been casted he would not have joined the WEC. The WEC almost made him into what he is today. I bet initially he was bummed out about not making the cut…but if he were to look back at it today, then I’m sure he’d be glad he didn’t.

Great fighter, but the open sided vest and toothpick look has got to go! As others have said i don’t think he got in as he was too advanced, particularly with his wrestling. It would have been a serious miss-match for him to fight any british guys, as we aren’t great wrestlers (to say the least). And i do agree that ufc wanted to promote the show in the uk, so they could hardly have all their fighters being mauled by a wrestler.

Dont hate on TUF…its produced some excellent talent. He was probably deemed to advanced to participate anyway.
The UFC knows talent and how to run an organization. Hate on them all you want…if it wasnt for them where would the sport be.
I loved PRIDE just as much as anyone, but they constantly fought out of weight class and had rampant steroid use. Remember when they protested Diaz beating of Gomi for pot usage…what about all the steroids the fighters took…ever test for those.
