funny how when the decision is being read, and the announcer says “judge 1 has it 48-47 for hieron”, then hieron gets all excited. why? it’s a guaranteed split decision or draw at that point. there’s nothing to be happy about yet. he should have been no less happy had they said “askren” for judge 1.

I had the same score as jimmy. Ben did take jay down on the third round but only dominated for 2 minutes compared to jay’s 3 minute standup domination. Jay definately had dished more damage than ben on the third.

round 1 could go either way; askren got the octagon control, and askren is the champion…round 2 askren…..round 3 askren still going forward and octagon control one big takedown and 1 minute in the ground..askren..round 4 clear for askren……theres no cuestion its a unanimous decision that favors askren….

wildabeast is correct. 48-47 Askren, he won rounds 2,3, and 4. Rounds 2 and 4 were clear for Askren. Round 5 was the only clear round for Heiron. The first round was the closest round which I gave to Heiron but could have gone either way. Round 3 was not as close imo.
