There was no honor in this fight. Badr showing his frustration in stomping Remy! Badr figured he was going to loose again so he stomped Remy! and Remy bitching out acting as if he was really hurt! Remy’s head didn’t hit the canvas when Badr attempted to stomp him, hell in K-1 that’s considered a love tap! There should be no celebration for either Badr or Remy. Badr with his bad sportsmanship and Remy revealing his cowardness in faking his injury as you can see he was fine when accepting his title! Badr and Remy cheated their fans big time!

Remy is a pusy…absolutely disgraceful for a fighter to act so dazed….Remy was simply scared. This actually reminded me of the first time Royce Gracie faced Hidehiko Yoshida and Yoshida told the ref Royce was out from a choke when the choke wasn’t even there.

I agree that it was probably possible for Remy to continue had he sucked it up… but in the end this was all Badr Hari’s fault and he should realize he threw away a K1 Championship… I had my money on Badr and was anticipating his winning the GP since it started and for him to just throw it away makes me wonder if hes going to do it again but with his career.

Then, when it comes to breaking down the decision, they castigate Badr for talking shit.

Badr fucked up in a way you cannot fuck up. Kicking a downed opponent through a ref is about one hair shy of what Matos did in the Olympics (attacking a ref directly) and he’s facing a lifetime ban.

And what did Remy do? Did he fake it? Did his mind suddenly realize that he could claim a scratched cornea, start faking an eye injury and, not actually having a scratched cornea, manufacture one before the guys doing the eye test could confirm it?

I have never seen either of these guys fight. Can’t say I’ve ever heard their names. I watch MMA pretty much exclusively but today I checked out some other niches (De La Hoya fight was remarkable) and found this.

What I can’t tell you is whether Remy won or lost. That is, had the fight gone on.

But what I can tell you is that Badr lost.

I hope he gets another shot at it. I suspect he’d have won this fight. But the road he has to travel to get back to where he was an hour ago are (a)deserved and (b) his fault and his alone.

I was just starting to get into K-1 again and was really impressed with Badr’s past fights but damn that dude needs therapy. Nobody has mentioned the two late punches thrown by Badr in the first round after the bell. He was definitely holding a grudge after their first fight.

For the longest time I thought Badr had the coolest scar on his back until they zoomed in on it. Is the “Reverse Kimbo” look big in Morroco or could he only reach one half of his back to shave. I guess Hong-Man isn’t the only genetic freak in K-1.

1: Striking is only one aspect of MMA.
2: The UFC is only one aspect of MMA.

A whole bunch of of elite-level K-1 fighters have tried their hand at MMA (generally in Japan), and have had varying degrees of success. Some only had a handful of bouts, such as Sefo, Bernando and Cikatic. Others have had longer careers with some degree of relevance in MMA, such as Hunt, Schilt, and Satake. Crocop had (ever-increasing emphasis on the past tense) a great MMA career, though I suppose his futile UFC stint failed to interest you in any of his past career. Just from this year’s K-1 finalists (including alternates): Lebanner, Manhoef, Hari, and Aerts have competed in professional MMA bouts.

Badr Hari is one of the best fighters in the world, but he deserved to lose this fight due to his stupidity. Remy should not have continued this fight unless he was physically able to, and only God and Remy know the answer to that!!

Besides, Remy is a black stud and has proven himself to be the best fighter in the world!!

I cannot understand how Remi can be called a pussy because he didn’t continue to fight after he has been hit by Badr Hari when he was laying on the ground. I think Remi took a tactical brake for one reason:

He knew that Badr Hari had to be disqualified according to the rules and so he gave the jury the time to come to the same conclusion.

Badr Hari’s behaviour had nothing to do with Remi. If Badr Hari is so silly to fight like a street fighter he deserves this punishment and should never fight in K1 again. Have you seen Bards statement after the fight? No remorse, he said next time he will shoot Remi.
