This is the fight video of B J Penn and Takanori Gomi at ROTR 4 - Rumble on the Rock 4.
The lightweight championship was on the line in this title fight. At the time BJ Penn was the number one ranked lightweight and Gomi was the number two.

A great long battle between two of the most liked fighters in the world. The bout took place in Penn’s back yard of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Good fight between two of the best. But let’s be honest, War Machine or Hightower would demolish either of these guys.
War Machine and Hightower are the future of the UFC and will knock down anyone who gets in their way.
It’s also rumoured that Fedor is a little scared of going to war and he also tends to avoid heights….

Bj penn lol, hes lucky his head slipped out of gomi’s guillotine at 75% towards the end of part 2 of these clips. Did you hear bj penns corner yell ” STOP CRYING ” when gomi motions to the ref for a nut shot lolol.

War Machine? Are you serious? The guy who cried like a baby when he was getting ready for his first bout on TUF 6? He got beat hard then, but he did develop some sack before the fight with Jared Rollins - that was one of the best of the year, imo.

But there’s no way in hell he’d take BJ Penn. War Machine doesn’t even have close to that level of ground game or striking, and if he lost the 15 pounds required to hit Penn’s weight class, he’d be a much smaller fighter.

War machine beat BJ? is that a joke? You are either kidding or a new commer to MMA. Mac Danzig the wiiner of TUF was decisively demolished by hayato sakurai in Pride who happen to be KO’d by Gomi. BJ Penn is arguably the best fighter pound for pound in MMA history.
