I can agree with some of the things he said.
- Like the Pacman vs. Mayweather fight wouldn’t be good for boxing cuz of the contrasting fight styles. (12 Rounds of Pacman chasing Mayweather and eventually losing the bout.)
- Majority of UFC fans are the younger generation. Seniors tend to despise MMA.

If you believe that boxing will ever truly die, then you obviously haven’t really followed it’s history. Boxing is ENGRAVED into American culture and has spread into other societies to make it’s mark. MMA and Boxing are two different sports, I love both. Right now MMA is growing, a sport with more depth, more fights and more action. Boxing will probably never die out completely, I hope the promoters start getting kicked out of the boxing circle and it starts getting back to the boxers who want to fight instead of to make money, ala Mayweather.

Im puertorican and haved loved boxing since I was a small child and contrary to most people dont think the sport is dying. I think people believe this because they dont follow boxing as a whole, because if they did theyd see that the smaller weight fighters (welterweight and lower) are putting up great fights! Having said that, I always watch MMA and have been following it since the early UFCs on video and enjoy the fights also and find it incredibly wrong for Arum to generalize MMAs audience like that.
