Where was this guy against Machida? He fought Ricardo Arona a couple months after this fight and did the same thing to him, then a year later looked like he’s never been in a fight before, weird stuff.

I hope Sokoudjou doesn’t become another Houston Alexander.

Houston Alexander never beat anybody big really. And Machida is a bad dude. Very hard to fight. He beat BJ Penn, Rich Franklin, and Rameau Sokoudjou. This dude is serious…boring but serious.

I just think some fighters can come out of the gate really explosive and look unstoppable until someone figures them out. Then it’s time for them to either go home or work to become a real MIXED martial artist. Take a look at the title holders in both Pride and UFC. There isn’t a 1 trick pony among them. BTW, that wasn’t Minotauro, It was his brother.

I think Sokoudjou is still a good fighter. He lost to Machida, who is 15-0 and has beaten a who’s who of oppnents. Machida is just an amazingly well rounded fighter. I don’t know if Sokoudjou will ever be a 205 pound champ, but he could impact the division.

I am impressed, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t like Sokoudjou proved he had anything other than great power. There is no big show of skill or endurance in 26 seconds. I haven’t watched the Arona fight, though, and all I know is that Soko wins that too, so I might be more impressed if I did watch it.

I don’t want to take anything away from him, but i don’t think this fight puts Soko as high up as some people might. I’m really not surprised that he performed the way he did against Machida with only this other fight to watch.

this fight was a shocker. i remember watching this and just my jaw dropping at that k.o. wasn’t expected at all.

but i agree, sokou lost to a VERY good machida, who i think is gonna eat tito’s food next ufc. it was pretty badass though when sokou came out with the predator mask. i was going insane at that point.

machida was a bad match up for him. heck, he’s a bad match up for alot of guys. but i know sokou’s gonna bounce back. who’s he fighting next anyway?
