Let’s be clear, if Cuban officials don’t see at least a that level of reaction against a ref they’re not supportive of the athlete. Unfortunately, island “sports honor” doesn’t control international rulings: This ban for life means Matos will suddenly lose his daily square meals, something to do all day, and his head filled with “guapo”! He’ll become yet another frustrated street thug on the island.

Olympic Taekwon do is a complete joke, even it’s practitioners frequently call it “Sport Taekwon do.” The martial art is a knock-off of General Choi’s Traditional Taekwon do, which is forms the ITF. Olympic TKD’s group is the “World Taekwon Do Federation,” or “WTF.”

FYI … at the current state of MMA there is no way fighters could compete in the olympics. Imagine any MMA fighter fighting 3 fights in less than 3 weeks, that’s outrageous, there is no time to recuperate for injuries sustained. When the fighters are standing on the podium they probably wouldn’t even be able to see out of their eyes and not to mention all the cuts/bruises on their faces. In essence, MMA probably would have to implement thicker gloves and head gear which detracts from the original joy in watching MMA.

If any sports are going to be removed, I think that s*** where they throw things in the air and twirl ribbons around should be tossed out. And any events that require a judge’s personal call and not based on a point or time system.

As far as TKD being in the olympics, it’s one of my favorites to watch. Check out Moon Dae Jung’s 2004 Olympic Gold win over Greece and you can see the true power and speed of tkd.

okay.. say soccer/basketball/baseball… if the soccer player decides to kick the ref in the face because he got a yellow card .. you wouldnt be like “oh good job player! the ref. deserved it”.. if the basketball player decided to smash the ref in the face .. you wouldnt say “ooo good job for doing that..what a bad foul”… if the baseball player threw the baseball and broke the refs teeth .. etc etc.. you get what I am trying to say…
