The fight will never happen, but if it did, fedor would treat silva just like he did cro cop, keep him backing up while protecting himself, make smart precise takedown shoots, take silva down, and submit him. They are both incredibly smart fighters, but fedor has 10x more experience the silva, and he knows a lot more styles of fighting then silva.

Silva is a more technical stand-up fighter, but the more explosive stand-up style of Fedor is also highly impressive. Fedor has a vast and dangerous wrestling background and Silva is a skilled black belt brazilian jiu-jitsu under Nogueira Team.
That is, both are complete, phenomenal fighters. Each being the very best in their weight ranges. I don’t think it is necessary to discuss who is the best p4p fighter. In terms of destruction power, both are equivalent.
Due to this, there is no reason to imagine a fight between them (210 pounds at maximum versus almost 240). In comparative terms, it would be the same to imagine a fight between the also impressive BJ Penn and Silva, with the same 30 pounds difference (155 versus 185, considering Silva at middleweight division).

Anderson Silva – Looked big even in the LHW division. Irwin is a good fighter. Good – but no tthe tops. Silva would not walk through the LHW division as the best fighters are bunched in this class. I think he would create the most excitement in this division.
Remember, Silva has been taken down and controlled in first rounds. If he has rounds like that with power hitters like Lidell, Rampage, Wanderlai, Rua it could be a quick evening as well. I have to say Silva’s heart is similiar to the heart and game of Griffin. Never count any of these people out at all. One mistake, one punch, one slip and boom your looking at the camera with corss eyes asking what happened.
If Silva can beat all of these LHW with Machida and others coming in this weight class, he will definitely be considered one of the best of all time.

While Irvin is a good fighter he is not in Silva’s class. I don’t think Silva would fair as well against top level opponents in the light heavyweight class. I think he would lose to the likes of Wandalei Silva, or Chuck Liddell. With that being said, I do beleive he could train to fight on the level of the top light heavy weight fighters because he is that good, but i don’t think he could do it right now. Furthermore I do not think that Silva or Fedor i the best pound for pound fighter in the world. In my opinion the best fighter in the world is “The California Kid” Uriah Faber. He is the most explosive and athletic fighter in the world today.

AS is 6ft 2 inches, 33 yrs old, 23-4 record
Fedor walks around at about 230 lbs, he fights at 230 lbs at a 265 lb limit.
Fedor is 6 ft 0 inches, 32 years old, 29-1 record (+7-0 in amatuer) and his loss should have been a NC but it was tournament format.
