…Wow
Stupidest yellow card ever. Silva was totally neutralizing Carlos and not taking any damage. Just what do these guys expect a guy on his back to do? Or did Pride just want to penalize guys who got taken down?
gdamn that hurt me watching it
OUCH! I kept wondering when the knees would come and damn did he ever nail him OUCH!
One of the classik pride fights, it’s to bad that the ufc had to take it out of play. Silva has his pimp suit on. Wandy always showing support!! Good old Chute Boxe!!
Silva is beatable on his back. Travis Lutter(Ludder?) almost got him, as well as Newton. If we get someone who is a monster on the ground, I see Silva losing his belt. Just my opinion though.
The ref showed insult by slapping him in the face afterwards.
Carlos thought he was on an island sippin’ a nice cocktail after that knee. He didn’t know where the hell he was at.
please. travis lutter didnt almost get him.. lutter got the mount landed like 5-7 weak punches.. then got swept off from the mount then submitted…
you can see here silva isnt even close to the fighter he is now..its crazy
sucks to see one of the guy who teaches at my gym get KTFO though
RoyalBeatz07 you may be right, but what about Hendo?
This little chinaman made reasonably easy work of silva..

royalbeatz. what do u mean by getting someone who is a master on the ground. ludder and newton were masters oon the ground. dont forget about hendo either. dont just watch a fight however many years ago and say the p4p best is beatable. every fighter has his day and yes one day silva will get beat but not because his ground sucks. he is a blackbelt.
ya if travis was able to get mount on silva i think that if u get some1 with as good jui-jitsu and better striking silva can lose his belt
ortiz is the first person came time mind who can totally take silva down and pound him until he got knocked out and take his belt. completely possible.
Sure but getting Silva down on the ground is no easy thing. And his BJJ is nothing to laugh at either. Sure he can be beat but not by most.
seeing wandy in his corner reminds me that anderson silva is fighting at 205 too and so does wandy…who wants to see silva vs silva?
Silva’s cheap. Newton was clearly out but yet, Silva keeps pounding. I know it’s probably not going to be for a while, but I still can’t wait to see him get his ass kicked by someone.
I FUCKIN HATE SILVA!!!
LOL, silva is really dangerous in he’s weight class, i saw a vid vs rich franklin, rich franklin cant even hurt silva..^^
Arthur why hatin’ my man silva? Did he sleep with ur mama! Or maybe ur sista???
silva is the man. love him or hate him but he’s the best right now, pound for pound. (maybe gsp can contest that) and silva is a fighter with class- unlike others like baroni, serra who whine when beaten.
How do you only give a yellow card to the guy on the bottom? Either the guy on top is stalling by just posturing, or both of them are stalling, but a guy on the bottom trying to defend a submission or losing guard can’t be the only one stalling. Awful card, great reaction to it by Silva though, knocking the guy out within a minute of the restart.
Hmm…Anderson Silva getting owned on the ground, stalling, and then landing a lucky strike. We haven’t seen that before..
I like your sarcasm, it’s true alot of Silva’s fight are won from getting up and landing a lucky strike.
Lucky strike? Oh give me a break. I’d like to see either of you two puds land a “lucky strike” and take out the fighters Silva has taken out with his “lucky strikes”. When it happens repeatedly, as it seems to with Silva, you might want to consider the fact that skill (and not luck) might have something more to do with it.
In this case, Silva made an calculated decision to bait Newton into the takedown (or he made an educated guess that would be Newton’s next move), then he threw the knee and timed it all perfectly… BAM, knockout. You don’t become champion, defend the title over and over, and become the number one or number two pound for pound fighter in the world on “lucky strikes”.
