THIS is the way grappling matches should be scored. It’s not just who’s on top, but who is dictating the action, putting his opponent in jeopardy and doing/threatening the most damage. Great Scoring, never would have happened in the UFC.

I wish the judges in the UFC would score this way. They should treat GAY Maynard the same way as Otsuka. He’s boring as suck to watch, and can’t do anything except take guys down and hold them there. Meh.

And you didn’t here any booing even though 97 percent of the match was on the ground. It was a really good match.

I notice that the people who are saying anderson is over-rated ain’t saying who is better. C’mon put some names out there so we can have a laugh!

Sure Leites is better than otsuka on the ground, but so has Silva evolved on the ground…I think Leites will still get KO’d before getting any dangerous positions on the ground.

I agree with zeusworks and whizzle…this is how things should be scored…unfortunately there are too many lay and pray type judges out there…also they would have been stood up like 15 times if they were in the UFc as ‘fans’ would be booing their little hearts out.

wow what a fight! Bruno thank you for posting that real Pride Gold! Pride is why I love MMA, not a big UFC fan (too many rules and favoritism), Pride is more like a fight should be.

Please post more Pride fights from the past, like the Grand Prixs, so many great fights: Rampage/Wanderlei, Rampage/Randleman, Wanderlei/Henderson, Crocop/Fedor, Shogun/Rampage, the list just goes on those are such classic fights. Ever since TUF, the UFC has been a spawning ground for Dana’s favorite Amateurs. That way he can make the big bucks n doesn’t have to pay them squat. I really like what Affliction is doing with the big names they featured in their last showcase (Fedor/Arlovski – that was really good).

Keep up the good work!
Bruno: Thanks. Use the search function. Most of the fights you mentioned are already posted on the site. There are over 2000 MMA videos here.

I love watching ground work. Referring to a live audience, the problem with ground work in the UFC is you can’t see it.

If you aren’t sitting in row 1-10 or any first section seating during a live ufc event, and the fighters go to the ground, well you can’t really see shit because of their cage.

I would assume thats why the live crowd gets pissed. they cant see.

I would also like to think that the majority of the American MMA community has gotten used to ground fighting by now. I know the majority prob doesn’t, but it’s ok to think and draw assumptions.
