World class fighter, world class guy. I met him in Las Vegas when I was on vacation a few years back. He spent hours signing autographs for fans for free in the mall, and stayed longer than scheduled. They told us we could take pictures of him, but not with him because it would hold up the line, but Anderson didn’t go for that. He happily took a picture with me and my friend. His manager Ed Soares was just as good of a guy. God bless him.

How famous athletes should act, my buddy and his kid just asked for a picture with a baseball player and he blew them off. (A.J. Burnett – NY yankees)

I was dreddin he might have a sponsor shirt on again. But this one looks real. Can’t believe he did that when he went out in to the amazon to meet those indians.

sleeping dawg Says, in 4-3-2013 at 19:19:32 from

After watching his documentary LIKE WATER, I became a huge fan of him. He signed a photo for one of his fans and wrote, “I am not the best, but I have the potential to achieve the impossible.” And his prayer to God was so on point, it made me shiver. He didn’t pray for the belt, money, or fame but instead just to send him back in “one piece” to his wife before the first Sonnen fight. On top of all that he told Big Nog he was going to submit him after the whole happy meal comment.

GSP, the tristar gym, Phil Nurse, and Greg Jackson can kiss his black ass, only accepting a challenge from another champion who weighs less than him. Anderson Silva is a true martial artist. The rest are just beginners and business men.

Joe Dog Says, in 4-3-2013 at 19:50:50 from

That looks very sincere and not just a cheesy publicity stunt, especially since it was filmed with a cell phone, impromptu. Silva has my respect but will really earn my respect if he can take care of the next couple of challengers including Weidman. I’ve doubts.

sleeping dawg Says, in 4-3-2013 at 21:49:08 from

@ramrod lol that used to confuse me too
G.O.A.T : greatest of all time

Dave Says, in 4-3-2013 at 23:53:40 from

OMG my eye was filled with tear as soon as I saw the kid’s reaction and how he started crying. nothing feels better than the feeling of helping people try it you will see what I mean!

thephoenixneverdies Says, in 4-3-2013 at 23:58:17 from

yupp, felt that.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 4-4-2013 at 00:34:50 from

Yeah but these guys are unathletic guys hitting, catching or throwing a ball and they are paid 30 millions a year for playing an easy undangerous sport.I’m not saying it’s easy to hit or throw a ball that fast but it doesn’t take athletes.Fighting sports are so much more humbling then team sports.

Damn dusty office!

Grappling-J Says, in 4-4-2013 at 10:17:57 from

I can honestly say Anderson Silva is the purest champion the UFC has ever seen. Not only has he destroyed everyone, but he takes time out of his day to visit a child he knows nothing about and make him feel on top of the world. Maybe other champions should take note and try to model their life around this man!

God Bless Anderson Silva

high stakes Says, in 4-4-2013 at 11:47:41 from

a TRUE legend of the sport and a rolemodel to all !

TheGMan Says, in 4-4-2013 at 15:40:26 from

Role model my balls. Anyone who dogs an opponent in the ring like he has in the past is no role model. However, this was awesome. Really heart warming.
