I’ve snapped my leg bone, and I can give Anderson some advice. “Take it easy on the medicine”. The pain pills will slow down the contractions in your bowels, and you’ll have to pull compacted crap out of your ass with a pair of pliers. Believe it, or not, that’s worse than the pain of breaking the leg. There you go, that’s my little advices, do with them what you will.

There’s damage to the soft tissue as well, there was big force from the kick driving that lower leg after the break. Without the bone supporting, must have been a hell of a strech. Hope it will all heal.
And Schumacher in the hospital in a coma because of a skiing accident.. Too much drama!
Hope it will all turn out fine for these guys.

While constipation is a side-effect of any opiate based pain meds… not sure a pair of pliers is the only way to making crapping easier.

So the titanium rod is going to stay in his leg after it heals Wolverine style? Hell maybe he will come back now..

@lowlywhisper that was the strangest, most insightful, greatest comment on mmatko this year.

My daughter suffered the same injury five years ago playing soccer. It has been five years…her titanium rod is still in, and she still has problems with that leg.

There is NO WAY Silva fights again after this injury.

Couple years ago, had a comminuted spiral fracture fib,tib and talus (downhill mountainbiking) broken in 6 places. A 6 inch plate on fib. 9 inch plate on Tibia. 22 screws total. Back riding and training after 7 months. Mr Silva will be back!!

I had this same injury about 3 years ago playing football/soccer. The bone came out of the sock. The pain was so intense that I passed out for a few minutes. When I came to the facility Doc was ready to pump me with morphine. I was walking without crutches after 5 months but I have not been able to return on the field and play at a competitive level. I’m in my late 20s so I doubt Anderson will be able to return in the octagon. On the other hand he’ll get the care of the best sports doctors in the USA so who knows. Wish him nothing but the best though, the man had done more than enough for MMA.

Aaron Ramsey football player from Arsenal has this injury and is back at the top level. And that is really top level in the world. Took him about 2 years to really get in to the same level and perhaps even better. He was and is young, probably has helped. You can find the video in YouTube where this happens. Btw what’s soccer and why the American handball is called football? :-)

Good on Silva for asking “when can I train?”. Being positive is one of the most important parts of coming back from a injury. I’ve also heard when some people get rods in their body, that part becomes stronger? like that one part is a terminator exoskelton, extremely unlikely it’ll ever break again with the rod in their.

Maybe Weidman has a Titanium knee that no one knows about?? He kind of reminds me of the Wolverine.

My respects to Silva and his family and may he recover God speed and come back stronger!!!

Well at least that leg won’t break again it’s made of Titanium.

Props to Silva his still one of the best ever at Middle Weight.

If Weidman beats Victor lets see a SUPER FIGHT Weidman vs Jon Bones Jones, ASAP in 2014.
