Log in to Reply INANEBIGNATE June 3, 2013 kungfulowkick, Honestly it depends where you are at. I have known some guys with no formal training who have fought at legit amateur events they had their friends corner them lol. Also I see alot of 18-20 yr olds who are fresh out of highschool or maybe in college who train for like 6 months then have their first amateur fight. The majority of them never have a second lol. When they get hit “all that training” (6 months lol) goes out the door and what ensues is pretty embarrassing Log in to Reply Tear June 3, 2013 was Why Stefan Struve fighting an amateur fight? Log in to Reply Burddog45 June 3, 2013 Why did he quit? Weak fight. Log in to Reply MMAMessiah June 3, 2013 That was painful to watch. I’ve seen better technique on WorldStarHipHop fights… Log in to Reply Genghis Khan June 3, 2013 GSP must be proud Log in to Reply martialist June 3, 2013 hajimeeee! haha that’s funny Log in to Reply Vance June 3, 2013 @above posting-what did your expect? they are french, they only french fighter around(and hanging by a thread) is Kongo, and he;s a freaking bum!!!! Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick June 3, 2013 @Vance Wrong continent you retard.Come to gyms in Quebec and call people pussies,we’ll see if you’re so tough.Tristar is one of the best gym in the world, and GSP is the Welterweight champion.BTW the guy running this website is from France so you might want to ease up on the “french can’t fight thing”.Let me guess, you’re American? You’re country wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for the help of France.Read a book and learn the history of you’re country before you say stupid shit. Log in to Reply marvelous mad madam mim June 3, 2013 only guy in the room who knows wtf he is doing is the announcer with the spiffy red shoes Log in to Reply andyalong June 3, 2013 ok that was brutal, i watched like the first min and yes the technique wasnt great but it wasnt until the guy started leaning over and putting his hands on his knees that it got really bad. he almost had the fight won until he totally adrenaline dumped. it looked like he was being super cocky in the first round like dancing around Log in to Reply Prorok June 3, 2013 The tall guy was lucky that the other one didn’t know much either. He kept his chin sky high. Any 18 year old that trains in my gym would knock the shit out of him. I hope the trains harder and take that stuff seriously before something bad happens to him. Props for the balls but he needs tons of training. Log in to Reply dmfh1981 June 3, 2013 Dude has a Mohawk AND a bald spot?? Smh…maybe he doesn’t know… That was the ONLY thing interesting about that video… Log in to Reply Major Syndrome June 3, 2013 What was that cage, someones cupboard? Tragic. You could go on and on about it if you didn’t have a life… These guys must be thinking “nek minit UFC” Log in to Reply wcoastassassin June 3, 2013 I will say, they had the balls to get in there. Not much skill no, reminds me of old local toughman contests. I entered a few of them myself Log in to Reply Schtuppin' Hawking The F*ing Genius June 3, 2013 Say what you want about these guys. At least they weren’t like the rest of the other 18 y.o. yutes, staring at the cell phone all night and day…they actually did something. So what if they weren’t great. They were evenly matched and trying to learn something about themselves. Notice the guy who just hung in there “won”. Reminds me of real life. One question though. What exactly is the minimum size for fight cage? Thing was tiny. I’m surprised they didn’t have to share a stool between rounds. “Are you talking to me? You’re his coach. Oh you are talking to him. My bad. Hey Andre, can you scooch over…we had more contact between rounds that during.” Log in to Reply Jo June 3, 2013 I’ve been in a couple of these glorified sparring matches. They can be fun, for about 1 minute and then you just want to quite. You just get so tired so fast it’s ridiculous. BTW having been in a few jitz and TKD tourneys and doing 6-7 of these does not make me a fighter. At all. Log in to Reply Muay Thai #1 June 3, 2013 Idk if you guys have seem amateur fights before but this is pretty much what they look like, especially for guys that haven’t trained very long. They are almost never pretty and you see guys quit like that in fights all the time. Log in to Reply Vance June 3, 2013 I know present to everyone the new keyboard warrior -he goes by the name of KungfuLowkick! Way to champ, keep up the keyboard wars!!! 😉 Log in to Reply fighter June 4, 2013 I know who to ask for for my next fight. Don’t even need to train. Log in to Reply ETK June 4, 2013 Yeah, they were evenly matched Log in to Reply ETK June 4, 2013 I’m seen a fight like this between two big guys. Both were turning red, breathing so hard and loud like they were dying of asthma attacks, snot flying, bending over leaning on their knees, turning away from one another and waving it off, falling down like fainting goats, one had a bloody nose so it was snot and blood and spit flying every time he exhaled, Log in to Reply Krio June 4, 2013 @Muay Thai #1 really? damn I should start fighting in amateur then would be easy Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick June 4, 2013 @Vance Who’s the guy saying french can’t fight??That’s internet warrior talk. You’re butthurt because you’re too dumb read a title and know the difference between North America and Europe. Log in to Reply Vance June 4, 2013 @Kungfu-Im European you dum dum! And Im done wasting my time typing to reply to your ignorant ass! Log in to Reply F_U June 4, 2013 lol @vance. You’re red neck idiocy is amusing. thanks for the laugh bro. Log in to Reply JBox3 June 4, 2013 Anyone notice that they were from the same gym? That’s why it was as respectful as it was. I honestly think that this was a glorified sparring match and they may have also been worried about going too hard with a partner. Then again, I only watched a few minutes. That was not pretty… Log in to Reply ssrobbi June 5, 2013 it started off and I was like, “okay so they’re not that skilled but it’s not bad”…and then you keep watching and it just gets more and more laughable. but you know what, it’s not the worst I’ve seen, and they got in the cage, so I’ll give them props for that. Log in to Reply TheMan June 6, 2013 lol @Vance, what a puss. Cries about people responding intelligently to his ignorance, pretends to leave, then returns to pout. Too funny. Much respect to KungFu for an astute response to his ignorance. Log in to Reply YOUEFFSEE June 7, 2013 despite the sketchy corner man with a pony tail weighing in at 115lbs in heroin and meth, they tried to fight. More then Jason Miller can say. Anyone who can do better go do it! when the guy had mount dont say he shoulda do this, he had no idea what to do, I dont think he had ever punched anything outside of a bag before. amazing bjj on display!!
