Overeem seems quite intelligent guy. But he will be surprised by how hard Santos hits. It will be a great match up. Brock had that I’m gonna quit in him, not hungry enough. He should have moved and boxed with Overeem some more and wait for better chance to take him down. I wasn’t that convinced with Overeems striking actually. We shall see.

At 9:43, the interviewer’s question kind of got on my nerves. Overeem was fighting light heavy back then, seems like a lot of these interviewers are just hopping on the MMA bandwagon now that it’s hit Fox.
Overeem is by far the most articulate person in the heavyweight division and English is his second language. Next to him, Frank Mir is the most well spoken and I would put him at number one, but he is outspoken as well which pegs him down a notch. Overeem shows respect to not only his opponents, but to the organizations he fights for as well. Also, I am drunk, my girlfriend is passed out on the bed from drinking too much soju, it’s 3 am here in South Korea and happy new year everybody!

Sometimes I think Reem is just pulling the old smile and nod routine, but he’ll occasionally respond with intelligence that lets you know he’s not a dumby. He’s been steadily improving for several years and is usually a pretty safe bet. I was glad to see my pick win. I can’t help but think back to some of the times I’ve seen him get his ass beat though. Most of his wins seem to be products, of size and experience more than talent and that certain little spark that makes you a superstar. I would love to see him as the UFC (think of how awesome his belt collection will be) but he has his hands full with Dos Santos. It may change come fight night, but as of right now my pick is Junior.
