I’d say Overeem easily won the first two rounds, looking pretty cocky in the process. He came out in the third looking a little gassed, went to duck a punch like he had effectively been doing the whole fight, and silva anticipated it, aimed a little lower, caught him right in the head. Overreem was stunned, and too stupid to shoot for a take down or at least cover up and cut angles to get a few seconds to recover. He underestimated the guy the whole fight, and it eventually caught up with him. It certainly “kills the hype” but silva didn’t beat overeem here as much overeem beat himself. I bet if you put em back in the ring 6 months down the road Overeem wouldn’t make the same mistake. Remember how badly GSP beat serra after the outrageous upset?

Overeem is not overrated. You’re talking about a declarated champion here. He is past the point of proving himself.

He just looked past Silva. Both the Blackzillian’s were looking far past their opponents. I want to know what in the hell their coach was telling them?

BigFoot didnt look impressive, Overeem just looked bad. In my books no one won. It’s hard to believe steroids made him that much better. He should find a way to get them back into his diet. Perhaps TRT.
