I am betting he will blame the horse meat…
God I hope the fight still happens.

Well now that’s just unexpected.

hwiLLa Says, in 4-5-2012 at 09:21:49 from

sucks the fight wont happen. but it really shouldnt happen now anyways with the test results. JDS is a young talented rule abiding fighter and shouldnt have to face someone who so clearly is tryin to get his the edge in his favor by cheating.

most healthy males exhibit a testosterone to epitestosterone ratio (T/E ratio) of about 1:1

Sephy Says, in 4-5-2012 at 09:48:30 from

What if they were injecting the horses he was eating with PED’s, hmmmm… And here I thought that 50 pound muscle gain was all natural. I still like Reem, but everyone knew he was on something, even his biggest fans knew deep down..

If you think anyone fighting at that level is clean, you are kidding yourself… with the possible exception of Roy Nelson, but I still don’t rule it out.

wow Says, in 4-5-2012 at 09:55:00 from

This is getting a little out of hand… We have always known Reem was a steroid abusing beast! But on the eve of the biggest HW fight probably ever why in the hell would he go down that road..

Very disappointed! There is no-one else I would put against JDS right now either. Although I would love to see him make BigFoot look even less human like.

Tankless Says, in 4-5-2012 at 10:01:35 from

I see Dana firing him , first a bitch shoving conviction and now this. If they don’t give him a license he`s foo-barred in north america .

He looked to be on roids when he fought at 205 in the pride days…everyone knows he has been juicing hard for at least 10 years…if you are shocked by this news you need to hang yourself from a rope.

jessop Says, in 4-5-2012 at 10:40:18 from

I think they should all be allowed steroids!! That way it will be like a real life Street Fighter game!! haha

rainbow Says, in 4-5-2012 at 10:46:02 from

There should be a new division created, the
“caught on steroid” division. Then they can take
all they want, and just fight each other.
Alistair will lead the way.
The USC =Ultimate Steroid Championship

willay Says, in 4-5-2012 at 10:56:02 from

The fight is not off yet boys. And 50lbs of muscle gain over a period of years is very possible for most males if you did it right..no roids needed.

Overeem uses steroids? it must be a mistake.

Tempted Says, in 4-5-2012 at 11:39:47 from

Chael fails his test, everyone on here goes stupid. Reem fails, everyone on here blows it off saying “we all knew it”. If you knew it, why did you keep backing the man? At least Chael had a real excuse that was legitimately backed up, even if it was still against the rules. Plus I think Reem is on steroids as well as doping. And more fighters than not don’t use PEDs or crutches. Its just the ones that do bring a bad name to everyone. The only thing that my group of guys use is creatine. Raises the t/e slightly.

coutura Says, in 4-5-2012 at 11:55:38 from

he is not juicing he tooked super pump max it makes you go high on testos

ibunn Says, in 4-5-2012 at 12:24:56 from

We all knew this anyway, it’s usually just a mater of time before you get caught . If the fight still happens it a lose lose situation for reem. If he wins he is a cheater that juiced, if he loses then he couldn’t beat JDS even with the use of steroids which makes JDS look even better. I still hope this fight will happen though

psxdogg Says, in 4-5-2012 at 12:37:15 from

1. Your group of guys will never get anywhere in combat sports with ought steroids.
2. No one cares that chael did steroids.
3. Its impossible to have a clean sport they need to stop testing till fight day at least they wont have guys jackin themselves up fight day and hurting their bodys/others to to much.

kinghanneman Says, in 4-5-2012 at 12:43:36 from

Overeem + steroids = we all had an idea. Biggest hypocrite here = a “beyond being pissed” Dana! Pissed at what? Because he got tested and caught and the fight is off! Like you had no clue…right.

JoeDog Says, in 4-5-2012 at 13:17:28 from

If Overeem wants to collect another belt, there’s always the WWE. He could meet Lesnar and colleagues in a Royal Rumble. I can hear the crowd roar.
Dos Santos will probably just have to wait for his rematch with Cain Valasquez as Overeem cooks up some silly excuse that the Neveada Commission won’t buy.
Disappointing but not surprising.

Ruddo293 Says, in 4-5-2012 at 13:28:17 from

People suffer from High testosterone levels called Hypergonadism, the opposite of chael’s condition… Hypogonadisim. They are people out there that bodies produces excessive testostorone… and i wouldn’t be surprised if allistar was one of those guys. I just think it’s unfair that people are gonna say “i told you so”… the fact is he’s been tested and tested and has never failed… He didn’t test positive for roids, people need to know the difference. More research needs to be done… i think it’s not uncommon for someone to have a 10:1 ratio T/E. But of course Floyd Landis was 11:1 ratio but he admitted he was doping and was disqualified from the Tour De France…

Roe Jogan Says, in 4-5-2012 at 13:29:51 from

Chael announced before he failed that he would fail due to doctor prescribed testosterone. Anyone who actually read the facts would not so quickly damn Chael. Chael does not even look like a steroid guy.

Overeem…. his is a big time butt wheaties juicer. I still like him as a person, but come one. I have friends on juice. Nice guys… but its not fair in a competition when the rules say no performance enhancers.

Ruddo293 Says, in 4-5-2012 at 14:29:11 from

@ Roe Jogoan… how do you know overeem is on the juice? Where is the evidence besides this elevated test result? Where is the signs of roid abuse from his past shows? Genetics play a huge factor in someone’s growth potential. I don’t care if you wont acknowledge it or not.. people are so quick to say he’s taking steroids just because he’s big. We don’t know how his diet, strenght training, supplments…he could be doing 5000 plus calories a day… we don’t know.. We’ve seen him get knocked out, we seen him at his lowest, but now that he’s at his peak prime, everyone has something negative to say about him.

Jack Says, in 4-5-2012 at 14:56:58 from

Hey if you guys been around gyms long as I have you know who is on the juice. The Reem has every characteristic of a anabolic steroid user. Just look at him especially the fights in K-1 in Japan. His jaws looks like pumped with air and muscle texture look unmistakably unnatural. To me this is why that I consider the Fedor the greatest heavyweight in MMA history bar-non. The UFC needs to clean up its act and kick out all the cheaters because it’s starting to lose the credibility.

hond2dciv Says, in 4-5-2012 at 15:15:18 from

Zachres Says, in 4-5-2012 at 15:42:17 from

Normal ration is 1:1… It is exceedingly rare for someone to have a ratio above 4:1, and if so, there are a host of other health issues that go along with this.

Just so that everyone is clear, the T/E ratio is Testosterone to Epitestosterone. The function of epitestosterone in the body is poorly understood, but it is almost always (like near 100%) produced in a volume matching testosterone production… even in cases of hypergonadism.

T/E ratio CAN be affected by some legal supplements and tremendous stress events. And, this is probably how Reem will get around the positive result… If the second sample comes up with the same result, he will have one of these supplements or meds on hand as an excuse. Then, he will request another test. I suspect that he will have a way of getting around another positive.

Like I said, they are ALL taking something. I have no idea how society should handle this, but I am not satisfied with the head-in-the-sand approach we are currently taking.

CocoSavage Says, in 4-5-2012 at 16:31:06 from

@summit No skill? He has LOTS of skill. I don’t care how ‘roided somebody is, it takes world-class skill to KO Badr Hari. It just helps that much more if the guy fights like Sagat while being the size of Zangief.

The thing that annoys me about this is Overeem went on and on about how he was one of the most tested athletes out there, etc…Dude…either don’t say anything or admit it…don’t bullshit…I take herbs that spike Testosterone but I would divulge that if I were a pro-fighter…I mean Jeez, Dude…

Ruddo293 Says, in 4-5-2012 at 17:02:48 from

Zachres, maybe he’s on something… but how could you get past all these strict testing labs? I mean, it’s just puzzles me that he was able to produce clean results every test if infact he was taking something. I really like Alistar, i never really looked at him as a roid freak.. I respect his ability and i guess this just kind of upsets me because i really did think he was doing this all natural, of course maybe legal supplplements and a good hardcore clean diet.. Guess i need to really understand how PED, HGH, ROIDS really work. I’m kinda don’t pay attention to that stuff simply because if figure if you gonna lose a fight, ur gonna lose… but looking at the Chael sonnen fight with A.Silva and seeing how incredible chael was and aggressive… maybe 16:1 t/e levels could explain his performance.

kbf Says, in 4-5-2012 at 20:17:33 from

Too high but still not as high as Chale Sonnens.

Ruddo293 Says, in 4-5-2012 at 20:28:32 from

I’m convinced that Alistar has been using PEDS which was clearly explained on mmajunkie.com with a recent post by Dr. Benjamin. Now it all makes sense… So sad though.. Alistar didn’t know the test was coming so that is why he test results were flagged, plain and simple! Great job NASC on random testing..

What I’ll miss the most are the mini documentaries with the amazing soundtracks.
Anyway, I think Mir will get the shot and Cain will get either Big Foot or Werdum.

Genghis Khan Says, in 4-5-2012 at 22:01:41 from

Average man has a T/E ratio of 1:1
Professional athletes 3:1 – 5:1
UFC Juice heads – around 6:1

Cyborg — “I train harder than any fighter in MMA and do not need drugs to win in the cage, and I have proven this time and time again” couple of weeks after she (or he in this case) tests positive for Stanozolol.
Overeem – T/E level of 14:1

Conclusion, you want to be the next UFC champ? F*** the skills, techniques, training, just pump your body with roids!

john Says, in 4-5-2012 at 22:21:21 from

Pro fighters admit that 90% of people around them take steroids.

So many have tested positive, yet zero have admitted to taking it.

Roids are so common nowadays that the name of the game is to NOT GET CAUGHT. Feel sorry for the athletes that are fighting legitimately.

S.Type Says, in 4-6-2012 at 05:52:04 from

I have to say that it is sad that there’s actually people believing that not ONE of the heavyweights isn’t on something. As someone who started martial arts at 5, I still believe that a lot of these guys actually make it happen with a lot of work and maybe SOME supplements. Natural supplements that can offer benefits to weight gain, muscle recovery, protein, development, etc… that are all naturally derived. There is ways with nutrition to slightly raise testerone levels… Not too an extreme level, but there are ways.
From an objective perspective, everything that is created in drug form, supplement form, in a syringe… is derived from what is around us – natural too a certain degree. Just as looking out onto field and imagining that with the right direction and knowledge you can make an xbox and a t.v.. Really, it is a f****** ridiculous comment, but I’m attempting to shed light on the fact that I think it is completely f****** ridiculous to say that every heavyweight is doping. Eating well, naturally supplementing, and training like a beast will make you a beast. There’s enough technology and nutritional know how to increase performance without chemically altering someone’s body.
Maybe I’m a surrealist and believe that most don’t abuse, but I think it’s a weak person/man who believes that someone has to be using to be near the top. Maybe this is a reflection on your own inadequacies and weakness.
Once again, just want to say that I don’t agree or believe that Overeem is clean, but JDS, Cain, even Mir (who put on some beef after his Brock beat down) I believe are clean. I still have to believe that we don’t have to rely on chemicals engineering to actually improve at what we do.

Swamp Donkey Says, in 4-6-2012 at 08:53:02 from

Man this sucks!!! Did they determine he was on roids during one of his fights cuz I think that would be more serious! Maybe he can get clean and still get the licence before the fight??? I hope so.

Murell Says, in 4-6-2012 at 16:34:00 from

I still cant believe all the Guys on here trying to defend him, making up all kinds of excuses,I dont care if Chael’s levels were slightly higher,Overoid got caught cheating the same as Sonnen, same as King mo, same as Rampage, there all cheaters, all in the same boat.

mangymongoose Says, in 4-6-2012 at 19:31:32 from

Ahahaha, big f****** surprise, the normal ratio is 1:1. Everyone in the UFC is abusing the testosterone replacement when the allowable level is 6:1!!!!!!!!!!!! Why am I the only one to point this bs out? All the f****** fighters are doing it, 6:1 is not natural even for a dude that works out all the time. Anyways, correct me if I’m wrong. And I’m not against performance drugs, I want consistency not arbitrary bs. either everyone is allowed to dope or nobody, in whatever forms that happens to take.

mmafan Says, in 4-16-2012 at 13:21:22 from

guys please lets stop being ignorant s here, one thing its cheating another thing is genetics, good training, good eating and some busting supplements and im not talking roids… alistair is that big because his body, his genetics makes him that big. back in the pride days he use to be a skynny motha.. well he was young and as all young man when we are in our early days of body development we tend to be lighter and skinnier. now alistar is a man so he has a mans body, thats why he has gotten so big, he wasnt going to stay skynny all his life. lets take for example jon jones, right now he fights at 205 because he is way to young and he still has a teenage body, lets wait for a few years when he gets older how big he is going to get. and when jones gets that big as oveeremm as pure genetics freak then people are going to start saying o jones is on roids he is too big. guys genetics genetics genetics, why some guys perform better than others, why are some guys fat other skinny and others muscle freaks, genetics, i have been training for years in the gym, and my best friend has some incredible genetics, we are dieting the same doing the same work outs, weight the same but the shape and streghts of our bodies are diferent, and its called genetics. so please take your head out of your ass and see the facts. go online do the research. when an storoid test is done, its a clear result for the drug then you are busted, but just having high ratio levels dont mean s…t. its all controversy to make people talk. this fight will happen so dont stress about it.
