Besmirched forever! No matter how many tests he takes from now on. Oh well, it’s kinda sad for Overeem, but then again he shouldn’t have cheated.

Overeem catches so much attention for his “bad test ” because he wins. Lets just be real for a minute, if the UFC tested every single fighter unannounced how many fighters would come up dirty? Then how many fighters would be reaching for the TRT story? Nobody cares if a nobody is busted or if the fighter looks like a LOP. Bottom line test everybody! !!!!

100% SUCKAFREE Says, in 6-27-2012 at 13:17:37 from

Overeem catches too much attention for his “bad test”, and that’s because he wins. Lets keep it real for a minute. How many fighters would come up dirty if EVERYBODY was randomly tested? How many would use the TRT excuse? Nobody cares if a looser or a lop is dirty. Bottom line the UFC should test everyone.

We decided to hang back in order to come up with some kind of bullshit story. Also to help that doctor who blatantly committed purgery at the NSAC meeting stay out of further questioning, and maybe retain a job.

Ozinator Says, in 6-27-2012 at 14:24:37 from

going from 205 (or 220 -his walk around) to 270 is bad evidence to point at for steroid use. My own anecdotal proves it to me. I was 6’5″ 170 pounds at age 17. Got up to 210 MM at age 23 where I stayed til i was 30. went to 235 where I stayed until I was 36 then I exploded to 280 in under 2 years. over the past 4 i walk around at 300 and if I had to cut or wanted to pose, I couldn’t get under 280 without losing muscle. So yeah, call me 280MM. I did all this without ever having done drugs. It’s all lifting and eating (though no horses yet!)

King Solomon Says, in 6-27-2012 at 14:26:48 from

Swordsmansmith Says, in 6-27-2012 at 15:29:43 from

He’s an overated cheater. JDS will KO him if they fight. JDS should demand random blood testing leading up to the fight to be done by an outside agency the UFC doesnt control. If Overoid refuses then dont agree to give him a title shot. Hes a dirty fighter and always has been. Cut out the roids and hes a LHW getting KO’d by the top guys.

Years of lying talking about horse meat this and horse meat that. He’s a bold face liar then got caught and now he’s making excuses and lying some more. I respect Chris Leben for owning it like a man. Alistar Overeem has no integrity.

The only reason I’ll watch him now is to see him get koed again. He can’t take a solid punch worth s***.

If he ruined his name with trt or steroids… Has Nate marquart or chael Sonnen done the same??? I still want to see silva vs Sonnen II. He was caught with his pants down. Now is the time to move on and progress. It sucks that we won’t be able to see jds vs overeem but on that same token I haven’t seen manny vs mayweather either.

u dont need roids to get f***** huge i know clean physical trainers who can turn any ectomorph into a beast, get them to gain up to 20-30 pounds of muscle in one month, for ectomorphs pure calorie protein to carb ratios, about 7000 calories 600g of protein a day then reduce during cutting maybe 3000 calories. f***** retards dont know s***

rockstarzee Says, in 6-28-2012 at 05:35:19 from

haters gonna hate. i think overeem is clean and awesome. Anthony Johnson weighs 220 and he has cut down to 170. thats just an example, anderson walks around over 220 and fights at 185 and has fought at 170. lets say overeem weighed around 230-240 when he was cutting to 203 in pride. during that time he wasnt building strength or gaining any size. thats why he didnt really have any KO power. also why his cardio was bad, cutting too much weight. then lets say he stopped cutting weight and bulked with high caloric intake and compound weight training. is it unbelievable that he gained 20-30 pounds over the span of 1-3 years? i think its possible. his genetics are amazing and he has a fast metabolism, thats why he was always shredded.

Ozinator Says, in 6-28-2012 at 09:08:21 from

Yep, dumbducks,

like I’ve been saying for years too…anyone who says “look at him, he’s on steroids” is a guy who probably never stepped foot in a real gym. If he HAS, he is not someone I’d ever ask for a lift-off or spot. Stop making excuses, kids and start eating and hitting weights. It can be scary at first but there is plenty info online to get you started. At any rate, stop being such angry kitty cats

Tempted Says, in 6-28-2012 at 10:18:37 from

Oh my God how many complete and total douche bags are going to keep squalling about steroids? TESTOSTERONE IS NOT STEROIDS YOU RETARDED IDIOTS. It isn’t even a banned substance. It is the amount that is monitored. Yes, using it as an aid is and should be illegal. But for f**** sake stop squawking about steroids.

Op_of_faith Says, in 6-28-2012 at 13:08:12 from

@DUMBdUCKS, rockstarzee, Tempted, Ozinator-

We may disagree on other things but I think we can agree that there are a whole lot of people here who talk s*** about PEDs and fighting who don’t know s***. They have never done anything like it, but they will attack and discredit fighters (online) for things that THEY could NEVER DO.

@Dumbducks-I get what you’re doing with the numbers…pretty aggressive but it makes sense. I’ve shifted away from Protein loading and stick with Creatine. I tend not to focus on more than 1.1g/Kilo with food only (largely Probiotic based-Kefer and Yogurt to make sure as many nutrients digest as possible). I never do loading doses but just make it a regular part of the training supplementation-prework and pre-sleep on recovery days.

Op_of_faith Says, in 6-28-2012 at 13:27:46 from

*1.1g/Kilo with food-regarding protein but I’m sure you get that…

probably the best HW on the planet but not sure if he’ll sell PPVs at this stage in his career….all i know is if he doesn’t beat JDS, AND he loses to Cain Velasquez, his UFC will soon be over…horse meat or not, this guy better keep winning, and winning impressively…not too smart to lie to your boss and piss him off

ruddo293 Says, in 6-28-2012 at 23:24:47 from

@DUMBdUCKS – 7000 calories is a pretty high number to transform someone into a beast. While i agree it might work, i wonder who is willing to pretty much only train, eat and sleep. because in order to achieve those results, you got to be one dedicated fool…lol all in all, i agree, but that is just way too much calories, way too much food and most people don’t have that kind of money for the average person. Alistar, has very good genetics… I think he’s skills speak for itself, he’s a great fighter with or without the PEDS

Op_of_faith Says, in 6-29-2012 at 13:21:20 from

A lot of Semi-Pro and Amateurs do fall into that category (People who eat/sleep/train). This is why a lot of them are broke. The ones I’ve dealt with are usually Personal Trainers, Club Bouncers or “Body Gaurd” types. Most are living off their Girlfriends or Parents. At least from what I’ve dealt with…7K is high…I’ve never had anyone go over 3.5K (but I’ve never trained anyone over 6’5″…

DUMBdUCKS overall point is accurate and one I’ve made before-you don’t HAVE to use illegal substances to get big. Plenty of fighters are using-that’s no secret. The funny thing is (and not a conversation to have here-most people on this board don’t get it) is that HGH is GREAT for injury repair/tissue growth stimulation. I personally think it SHOULD be legal off season and up until 6 weeks out from an event.

Once again, you have to give Overeem props for agreeing to random testing. I kind of doubt that he would KNOWINGLY agree to that and then use…I don’t know that he has NEVER used (I suspect he has) but no one with any sense would agree to random witnessed testing and then stay on cycles…

Tempted Says, in 6-30-2012 at 10:02:13 from

I can’t afford to eat, sleep, train. I have a full time 3rd shift job and am a well worked independent automotive technician during the day. I am also a smaller guy, fighting at 155 mostly(though my next is at 145) and 5’8″ so that amount would more than likely make me look like Roseanne Barr. I am very against the use of actual steroids in the sport. The reason isn’t an advantage or anything performance based, but because of what they do. It is no secret that they enlarge your muscles, but what people don’t think about is your heart. Your heart is a muscle and overuse of steroids enlarge it as well, leading to inevitable chronic heart issues(cardiomyopathy). While professional athletes may choose physical strengths over longevity I don’t think it is healthy to knowingly allow it. Every kid wants to be a pro athlete and will do exactly what their idols do to get there.

Op_of_faith Says, in 6-30-2012 at 12:11:45 from

@Tempted-You are correct, Sir. I’ve just seen that most fighters I’ve encountered are in the “sacrifice for the sport” mode, so health concerns are not on the table (though they should be). While I get where you’re going we both know that most Athletes will look for what ever advantage they can get…I really don’t think it can be stopped.

As far as the sport goes-I think it sucks that a GREAT fighter can lose to a GOOD fighter because one of them is on “T”. This is why I think disclosure is the best model. IF an athlete doesn’t care about their health or future (many seem not to-stupidity of youth IMO)then as long as they are forced to disclose the other fighters and organization can make a choice about whether to sanction the fight.
