oh man, I have to say, that was funny. Sometimes overeem stuff is hilarious. Sometimes he’s a total ass. Sometimes it’s hilarious when he’s an ass too! Like that one episode of the Reem where he was just beating up his sparring partners and they were hiding behind heavy bags and stuff…

Overeem’s kicks and punches will keep Brock at a safe distance to prevent a good take down. I’m sure he’s also planning on catching Brock with a knee during take down attempts. If Brock gets him to the ground the Reem has some good BJJ skills. But I hope he’s working extensively on how to stuff the shoot, how to reverse Brock from his back, and how to get up after being taken down. I have the Reem by KO or Guillotine!!

Reem vs dos santos would be a much bigger fight than Brock vs dos santos in the new year. I hope the reem pulls it out, he’s a brit so i hope he does it for the brits !!

I agree with Nogi (above), Persian wrestlers are top notch (They are to wrestling what Brazilians are to jiu jitsu) … the only problem is that Overeem is slow and doesn’t have enough years training wrestling. Any way, I hope Overeem wins because that will force Brock to focus on other aspects of his game (and not over-rely on size and the ability to take someone down).

There was a picture of Overeem with wrestling guru Jared Rosholt in a previous MMATKO post. If HW Rosholt is roughly 260 LB, why does Overeem look so huge next to him in the photo?
