100% agree with the first post. always like gegard, recently started to follow Gus. both deserve shots

He really did not loose once in his last 22 fights. He put a whooping on King Mo. He was on the bottom most of the fight, but landed way more shots and you can see who had caused more damage.

Hahahaha he was whooping King Mo. Come on Turbo I like Mousasi also but give Mo credit where it is due he owned Mousasi that night and rightfully won. Mousasi could not stop the take down so he was on his back the entire fight. I think he may win in a rematch but no question about it Mo was better that night.

@Turboobsessed, watch that fight again dude. King Mo easily, non-controvercially, won the fight. He had multiple take downs and controlled the entire fight except for one round (I think it was the second, I forget). That was the only round in which Mousasi did a lot of damage from his back which rightfully won him the round despite being outgrappled, taken down, and being put on his back the whole time. I, as with most people, and all three judges correctly gave that round to Mousasi, and the rest to Mo. Just because one guy does a bunch of damage from his back in one round does not mean you just give him the rest of the rounds in which he didn’t. Your opinion is idiotic.

Bad fight for Gus. I think mousasis’ striking is way better but Gus has better footwork. Gus has way more to lose than mousasi has to gain. Gegard will put Alex on his ass and win a decision.

Gustaffson just had a number one contender fight against Shogun, and he won, which makes him the number one contender, right? So making the Mousasi match up shows how the UFC ranks him coming in.

Agreed that Mousasi was never in trouble and he smashed Mo, BUT he didn’t have control of the fight at all, Mo controlled the entire fight sans getting clipped… and losing an eye…

Damn! that’s gonna be a very interesting match up! gustafsson has very good strikes but Mousasi also has precision boxing and is very skilled all around. they are both very close! Mousasi has more experience but I would give a slight edge to Gustafsson for speed.
honestly that fight can go both ways its really hard to call this one.

Yeah I gotta also agree with inanebignate, it seems like there are so many other mathcups they could’ve gone with, but yeah sick matchup. 2013 is gunna be very interesting.
