Boxing bout between Alex Emelianenko and Hizir Pliev. This was Aleksander’s first professional boxing match and was held in Moscow on October 3rd, 2009.

There is only 3 rounds of the fight available so far. If I get the last round I will post it. The result of the fight can be found below the video if you don’t want the result spoiler.

wow aleks did well and got the win but it seemed like hizir was landing every punch he threw. if he just threw alot more i think the judges woulda gave it to him

how did he win that? he got so outclassed, kinda said really, especially as an mma fan, but just goes to how far mma strikers really have to go in terms of hand skills.. seriously the other landed every singe punch he threw, made aleks look like an amateur (which he is though)

the boxing level here is horrible Emelianenko is a great MMA fighter but a very mediocre boxer It shoxs once more the poor boxing level in MMA But MMA is so complete that you cannot be excellent everywhere If you want good boxing watch boxing cos boxing in UFCis horrible

Fedor Emelianenko is the great MMA fighter. His brother isn’t in that league. Aleks struggles and I wish him well but you’re talking about the wrong Emelianenko, amat.

Yes, Aleksander got tagged a bit, but from the rounds seen here, he was the aggressor, and landed quite a few more body shots and upper cuts than Hizir.

Alex is a good boxer; not great, but good. He is not poor. Because of his training in mma, I think, he is able to absorb many of the blows of boxing, although that might not be good for his future in either sport.

no Dr i am talking about alexander and not fedor.alexs is a great MMA fighter but very poor in boxing.Fecdor is the greatest MMA fighter in history but if he made a boxingmatch he would be destroyed just as he would destroy any boxer in a MMA match.But props to alexsfor trying.I have boxed for morethan 18 years and i never criticized any guy who gets in the ring whatever his talent is.
