That was so badass.

I like Belcher’s aggressive style and how in a position like this, he was able to find an offensive move. Cote has a lot of rust, but Belcher is a gamer. Does he have a shot at beating Silva? Um….yeah not so much. However, I’d watch the fight, because he’ll engage Silva if nothing else.

That is not a foul, he landed face first, not head first, and is not technically a spike.

You guys are denying that it was a headspike based upon the angle in which he face hit the ground…

I guess it’s necessary to remind you that the face is part of the head.

And since he was slammed into the canvas face first, that’s a headspike.

Even if the action doesn’t match the technical term, that move still puts tremendous pressure on the cerival spine and could result in paralysis.

Please do yourself a favor and look up cerival spine damage on the internet or wikipedia.

They don’t allow strikes to the back of the head for the same reason that they don’t allow headspikes, both techniques could result in cervical spine damage.

Goulet got ktfo, that Ricci kid did to at the last Bellator, Claveau always loses every time I see him fight, Kang lost to Bitchbing of all people, Loiseau got booted from the UFC for getting owned on the ground etc, etc. I don’t understand how they can’t learn anything trainig with GSP and what he gets out of tooling them in the gym. It must look like a douchebag picking on his little brothers that are half his size when they roll/spar together but Cote actually competes in a heavier weight class than GSP! Cote’s cornerman/jujitsu instructor BTT Hollanda has a horrible mma record and I have actually seen him quit in a fight because he was too tired to continue! If Cote didn’t get out-grappled he would have gotten ktfo in the stand up because every time I see their boxing coach Howard Grant in a boxer’s corner(Andrade,Funega, etc)that guy gets whipped to. GSP being the champ is even more impressive when you look at the tomato cans he has to train with most of the time. I can’t get over had bad Renzo looked against Matt Hughes, Renzo should be the one taking bjj lessons for mma from GSP, not the other way around! Good thing GSP has Greg Jackson’s camp to get a decent workout at once in a while I guess

I loved this when I saw it. Anytime Cote gets a beatdown it is a good day. Nice fight for Belcher. Also, not a head spike.

With good game plans and smart fighting he will be the force and title contender..only time ill get odds better will be if he fights Anderson Silva!
