The belcher that dumped Cote on his head and beat Palhares can beat anyone at 185lb on any given night. The thing with A. Silva is that no matter how many times he finds himself in a bad spot he ALWAYS finds a way to win, it’s just freakin’ amazing, so while i wouldn’t bet against Silva, Belcher and several other MW’s certainly have what it takes to beat him. Hell, Sonnen was less than 2 minutes away from doing so, so why not Weidman who is light years better on the ground and on the feet.

Everyone seems to be talking about why they’re a bad matchup for Anderson or how they are the one who will beat Anderson.

I think they’re all realizing Anderson’s age is going to soon be a factor in his fights and want to capitalize on that. If Anderson keeps fighting, his age is going to affect him and his timing. That’ll eventually cost him the win and the belt.

He’s 37, he should enjoy the fact that he destroyed a division, made a statement in another division and never lost in the UFC. It’d be different if he was still “young”, but he’s not. Go down as the greatest fighter ever to walk into the octagon.

I like Alan but he doesnt stand a chance vs Spider. Alan’s more ok at everything but Spider excells at everything and will pick Alan apart on their feet. Look what happened to Vitor and hes the best striker (after Spider) in the divis.

Belcher is one of those guys who can beat 90% of the division, but Silva is a terrible matchup for him. The same goes for Bisping. I really think Lombard or Weidman stand the best chance.

I think he would be one of the most well rounded guys anderson has faced. I still would favor anderson in this fight but you can never count out belcher. I think there are a couple guys now at 185 who could be a legit threat to anderson. Lombard, Wiedman, and Belcher. And also Vitor has a good chance with anyone if he goes for the kill right off the bat and lets his hands fly. I was definitely perplexed when he fought Anderson how he did not rush him but instead let anderson gauge his distance and get his timing down. especially after seeing how successful chael was by not letting him get his timing down. Vitors most successful fights is when he pressures guys early and quickly closes the distance early and use his solid boxing coupled with his insane hand speed to put ppl out

Here’s an idea: throw a really stupid awkward spinning back fist, loose your balance, fall to your ass, sit against the fence and wait for Silva to kick and punch you into oblivion when you know your best chance is to take his skinny ass to the mat and pound him out.
