IMO this was the fight that made Cain go back and work on his hands and finishing fights. For after this fight Cain’s standup improved dramatically and started finishing all his fights. I see him dominating JDS on his feet and hurting and finishing him on the ground!! But everyone knows JDS hands are lethal and he will be dangerous every moment on his feet. So Cain’s smartest tactic will be to take him down. But remember JDS is also a BBB and we will get to see today how good he is on the ground. I have to go with Cain on this one because AKA has trained him so well!!!

His weakness? When have you ever seen Dos Santos on the ground for more than a few seconds? The fight will stay on the feet, and JDS will finish Velasquez via tko in the 2nd.

What Wrestlers has JDS fought? Carwin is about it.. so saying he has great takedown defense without really having many fights to show it is pretty silly.

it is obvious that you really dont follow the fighters. JDS has only faced one wrestler in the UFC, and of all things didn’t try to wrestle him (Shane Carwin). Carwin was destroyed on the feet, and then finally tried slow lazy takedowns on JDS, that failed.
JDS’s only loss was due to armbar, back in 2007. here is the video:

JDS says his strong point is his boxing and bjj, not wrestling he admits this (even though his takedown d is good).

not to mention, Cain has faced better fighters. Out of JDS’s 7 UFC fights (wins), 3 of them have been dropped from the UFC, and 1 just was beat into retirement (crocop). Should be a good fight either way, but as a fight fan for many many years I have to say that I believe Cain has the advantage over JDS when things go to the ground, and they will. IMO Cain will win, but anything can happen.

Also Most of you saw Daniel Cormier beat “Bigfoot” Silva. Cormier gave the credit to Velasquez. Which if he’s not joking means Cain will be as good or better with boxing as Cormier was that night.

I told you JDS is gonna take it. Cain stand up has a lot of holes even Kongo knocked him down 3 times and JDS is much better at stand up and much harder to take down.
