Firas and Damian Maia have great ideas that I would love to see happen. At least test them out in a few fights. Maia’s idea is great for non title fights. And Firas idea for title and main event fights would be epic! There would be so many finishes!
Cain would be unstoppable his cardio is ridiculous.

This is a very good show, I haven’t really heard the opinions of the people who scored the fight for George until I saw this episode. Enlightening.

Robin Black is one of the best MMA analysts out there in my opinion. One thing i disagreed with is that they try to make it seem like Georges has won this fight faire and square if you apply the current scoring system and Hendrix would have won with the Pride scoring system. Which i totally disagree with because even with the current scoring system Hendrix still did enough to win that 1st round (which is the round that it comes down to) they both got one takedown and didn’t do much once it was on the ground so it’s one takedown each, then there was many elbows from Hendrix that rocked Georges, a knee by Hendrix that connected not flush but quite clean on the face, many knees to the thigh of Georges by Hendrix and an official much higher percentage of significant strikes landed by Hendrix in that first round (almost twice as much) according to the fight metric. Georges however didn’t land much on Hendrix in that first round. How does that round go to GSP ? :-(

@ fluidity
Since when is percentage of significant strikes important for scoring the round? It is interesting statistics, and nothing more.If three out my seven “significant strikes” hits you I’m stil under 50%. On the other hand, you can try to “significantly strike” me twice with one punch landed and one missed and you are at 50%. However, I have still landed 300% times more than you did. Gues what, that is what counts. It doesn’t even need to be “significant strike”, if it lands it counts regardless of the power behind it…..
As far as those elbows by Johny, he was just trying to fend off GSP’s takedown attempt.
Also, when GSP had takedown, he tried both submission and mount. Johny did nothing with his takedown.
